National Conference of State Legislatures

Created in 1975, the National Conference of State Legislatures serves America’s 50 states, commonwealths, territories and the District of Columbia. Its mission is to advance the effectiveness, independence and integrity of legislatures and to foster interstate cooperation and facilitate the exchange of information among legislatures. Since 2020, NCSL has turned to us to design a variety of resources to support the policymaking process.
